Miami Beach deserves a mayor who listens to every resident, protects our neighborhoods, and leads with transparency, innovation, and results.

I’ve always been the people’s commissioner, and now it’s time for me to be the people’s mayor. I’ve always put the community first, and I am prepared to do an excellent job for our beautiful city.

I have always been a strong advocate for small businesses and have led efforts to preserve Miami Beach’s architectural heritage — including a current project of increasing the color and culture of many of our City's older Art Deco properties.

The people of Miami Beach have always known me for putting residents and our neighborhoods first, when no one else would, and I will lead Miami Beach with that same drive for protecting what makes our city special, solving problems head-on, and putting people before politics.

Let's have Miami Beach City Hall work FOR our community.

Kristen's Vision for Miami Beach

Smart Growth That Puts People First

I believe in development that works for the community, not against it. That means putting residents at the center of decision-making, protecting our neighborhoods, and ensuring growth enhances our quality of life. I’ll prioritize thoughtful, sustainable planning that addresses housing affordability, protects our environment, and builds a city where everyone, from longtime residents to young families, can live and thrive. Smart growth isn't about more. It’s about better.

Building a Resilient Future

We live on the frontlines of climate change, and our city must be ready. That’s why I’ve fought to modernize Miami Beach’s flood protection systems and invest in forward-thinking infrastructure that meets the moment. As mayor, I’ll champion resilient, sustainable solutions that protect homes, roads, and public spaces from rising seas and stronger storms. We’ll future-proof our city with smart, science-driven investments because we owe it to the next generation to get this right.

Preserving Our Past

Our historic architecture isn’t just beautiful. It tells the story of who we are. I’ve led efforts to preserve Miami Beach’s unique character while promoting thoughtful, community-driven development. We can honor our past without sacrificing our future.

That’s why I’ve fought to protect iconic public spaces like Allison Park, the Byron Carlyle Theater, the South Shore Community Center, Monty’s, the Lincoln Road parking lots and the North Beach Library. These aren’t just buildings—they’re art hubs, gathering places, and green spaces that unite our neighborhoods. As mayor, I’ll continue ensuring these landmarks serve the public good, with inclusive planning and real input from the people who call this city home.

Public Safety You Can Count On

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, whether you’re walking your dog after sunset, running a business, or raising a family. As your mayor, I’ll be tough on crime and laser-focused on making sure our police have the tools and training they need to keep us safe, while also ensuring accountability and community trust. That means giving our police the resources they need while investing in smart crime prevention and technology that works. Public safety is non-negotiable, and I won’t stop until every resident feels protected.

Real Transparency. Real Accountability.

I’ve spent my career demanding better from local government, and as your mayor, I’ll continue that fight. Miami Beach residents deserve leaders who listen, act with integrity, and are both accessible and accountable. I’ll work to restore trust between City Hall and the people it serves by strengthening ethics policies and creating more ways for residents to engage and be heard. Transparency shouldn’t be a buzzword. It should be the way we govern.

Investing in Our Parks, Schools & Public Spaces

I believe public spaces are the heart of a great city. That’s why I’ve worked to expand green space, protect our parks, and secure critical funding for local schools. Our families deserve places to play, learn, and gather. And I’ll keep fighting for a city that invests in community-centered spaces. Whether it’s reimagining our public plazas, improving school facilities, or expanding park programming for all ages, I’m committed to keeping Miami Beach a city that nurtures well-being, creativity, and connection.

Supporting Small Businesses

Small businesses are the soul of Miami Beach, and I’ve always been their fiercest advocate. From our mom-and-pop shops to our local restaurants and startups, I know that when small businesses succeed, our city thrives. We must continue to cut red tape, expand access to resources, and ensure small business owners have a seat at the table when decisions are made. Economic vibrancy starts at the street level, and I’ll make sure City Hall is a partner - not a barrier - to your success.
